Ochosi is revered as the Orisha of the wilderness and a skilled hunter and fisherman. He is said to reside in the vast forests, where he can be found making his way stealthily through dense trees as he hunts his prey. Legends tell of Ochosi's exceptional marksmanship and his ability to never miss with his bow and arrow.
Oshosi is associated with lightness, astuteness, wisdom, and craftiness in the hunt. He is the orisa of contemplation, loving the arts and beautiful things. He hunts with a bow and arrow (called an ofá), hunting for good influences and positive energies.
